In 2011 Marcela participated with Alejandro Nievas as a soloist tango couple in an international competition in South Korea with the Tango Spleen Italo-Argentine Orchestra, made up of young musicians.

The Tango Spleen Orchestra was created by the Argentine musician Mariano Speranza and is composed of fine Argentine and Italian musicians, including Andrea Marras, Elena Luppi, Cristiano Lui and Milko Merloni.

The Argentine opera singer Ivana Speranza also participated in this event.

Tango Spleen played in many theaters in Seoul and as an exclusive event at the Italian embassy in that city.
